An influential global bank is looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join the China Region Credit Risk team and undertake intensive credit research and analysis As a Credit Analyst, you will work closely with the Risk Management team and the relationship management team to assess risks and perform all necessary credit due diligence and analysis on counterparties You will review or recommend for approval credit risk-related transactions originating from counterparties You will develop and maintain rapport with local regulators and government and provide updates and insights to the senior management team in China and HQ.

Assessment of and deciding on the credit risk of both new and existing Professional Fee Finance accounts Analysis of financial accounts, bank statements and customer's credit history in order to assess repayment ability Liaising with Professional Fee Finance Sales Manager to obtain relevant information to assist with decision making process Preparation of Credit Applications for decision both within the Professional Fee Finance team and by Credit Committee Ensuring adherence to KBC's Professional Fee Finance Credit Criteria, Procedures and SLA's and ensuring a high level of accuracy Ensuring a knowledge of and adherence to all Compliance and CBI requirements Preparation of various monthly reports as required ie ICB reporting, monthly control reports and daily lodgement monitoring Assisting with various other Credit Acceptance Department tasks as required.

A basic knowledge of corporate credit analysis techniques is essential A basic ability to analyse and interpret company financial statements is essential Knowledge of accounting standards would be useful Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Access and research skills are desirable Experience of performance testing and covenant compliance would be useful Financial modelling skills would be useful Language skills in any of German, Spanish, French or Italian languages would be useful, but not essential.

A professional financial certification such as CFA or FRM would be an advantage A high degree of proficiency in English with the ability to write and present confidently and clearly. Advanced communication skills in German or French preferred. Fluent in Spanish Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting years of relevant professional experience Previous experience collecting in a wholesale environment.

The incumbent must have 2 - 3 years experience in a credit organization, including 1 year of specific experience in collecting accounts receivable in a wholesale environment.
